What can you do to make sure it is muscle and not fat?
You can measure the following things to ensure this (not necessarily all of them):
Measure your weight and compare it to your body fat percentage (calipers)
Tape measure your waist & other body parts
InBody Testing
Stay consistent with measurements
Here’s how to do it:
Ask your trainer if they can properly measure your body fat with calipers
Use your gym or local supplement shops' InBody scan
Ask your trainer to teach you where to tape measure/how to tape measure properly
